About Us

The KPM Network for Education provides and exchanges educational solutions based on principles of effective education that we can all agree upon, by working collaboratively with individuals, schools and policymakers.  We believe that education can be uniquely effective in creating positive and lasting change in the world.

The KPM Network for Education includes four organizations in India, France and the United States: Atma Vidya Educational Foundation (India), Sri Atmananda Memorial School (Kerala, India), KPM Institute (USA), and KPM Education (France). 

Our work is grounded in a school in Kerala, India - Sri Atmananda Memorial School  - in which principles of effective education have been modeled for more than twenty years.  

We provide:

·       a vision for effective education that most of us can agree upon,

·       a meeting point – this website – where people can join together around this vision,

·       a plan of action and resources for putting into practice effective education, and

·       a proven model of education that works.

We believe in the benefits  of collaboration.  This effort to bring about effective education involves all of us, including teachers, administrators, officials, the business community, parents, and private citizens. We all have a role to play. 

Effective education is the most significant long-term solution to almost all problems that the world faces. Virtually everyone sees that education has to change significantly to provide the outcomes that so many of us consider important in today’s globalized society.
