With the help of this new website, we can all join together and participate in the movement to bring about effective education in the world.

At the KPM Network for Education, we have been working to implement principles of effective education for more than two decades. A lot has happened in those twenty years. Education systems throughout the world have changed in different ways, and all fields of human endeavour – politics, civil society, economies, technology, the environment, and modern life generally – have required new approaches to education to produce new skills. There are growing calls for change in the way we educate children. Compared to when we first started Sri Atmananda Memorial School in Kerala, India, in 1987 as a model for the principles of effective education, there is now more of a climate of innovation and a growing acceptance throughout society of these principles of effective education.

In recent months, we have worked on putting up this website as a meeting place for us all to exchange ideas, and join the movement to bring about effective education in the world. Please send links to this website to your friends and contacts whom you think will be interested. We would like to hear your views about how this website can achieve our goal of bringing about effective education. We want you to help us in reaching out to decision-makers who are in a position to effect significant change in the world.

Whatever position or circumstance we find ourselves in, we are all affected by education, in any corner of the world, and we can all influence it, whether in the family, the classroom, the community or in a wider sphere.
